Club Italia
A. The Club Italia Sports Organization (“Club Italia”)
founded in November of 2003, is a not-for-profit organization that
promotes healthy living and active competition for youngsters, teenagers
and adults alike. It is a club that is built on the positive and
wonderful elements associated with Italian culture. The Club’s
ultimate goal is to have an elite Youth and Adult Soccer Program
and a state-of-the-art outdoor and indoor facility.
Q. When are tryouts?
A. Tryouts are held in June of each year. If a team is short handed
a player may be added later on in the season.
Q. How much does it cost and what does it include?
A. The cost is for the Fall & Spring Seasons. This includes:
Club dues, field costs, insurance year round, 1 player’s banquet
ticket, player registration, team and club advertising, team supplies
(first aid kit, soccer ball, nets, corner flags, pennys, cones,
Internet, phone, office supplies, postage and a coach’s risk
card). Payment is due: one half when the child makes the team and
the other half is due before the first game.
Q. How far do you travel?
A. Travel is about 15 minutes to 1 hour. It also depends if the
coach is going to any tournaments (45 minutes to 2 hours).
Q. How many current teams does Club Italia have and what
age groups?
A. Club Italia has eight youth teams: Boys: U9, U10, U12, U13 A
team, U13 B team and U17. Girls: U10, U13. Men 0-30. Women: One
Women Select.

Q. What league does Club Italia belong to?
A. Our youth belong to the Michigan Youth Soccer League (MYSL)
who is affiliated with the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association
(MSYSA). Our men belong to the Michigan United Soccer League (MUSL)
who is affiliated with the Michigan Soccer Association (MSA). The
Women Select belong to the Michigan Premier Soccer League (MPSL),
which is also associated with the MSA.
Q. What is the commitment for a player?
A. Players must display good sportsmanship at all times and follow
the guidelines expressed in the Player Manual and Team/Coaches Guidelines.
Club Italia wants only serious player and athletes.
Q. What is the commitment for parents?
A. Parents are to follow the guidelines expressed in the Player
Manual and Team/Coaches Guidelines. Parents are also required to
support the club and the team in their fund raising activities.
Making sure that your child comes to the practices and the games.
Attendance is mandatory. Players are expected to attend two practice
sessions per week. It not able to make practice, you must inform
one of the coaches by phone at least three hours prior to practice.
After three unexcused absences, the Club has the right to release
a player without question.
